I have this ache in my lower back because: a) I slept in weird places for the last few days and b) because I guess I am older than I thought. LOL So I took a walk to stretch my back and gathered up some willow tips to make a pain killing tea.
There are a few other things I share on the way.
The wheel of the year is not only out in nature but it is inside of us as well. Many people feel some sort of "winter blues" this time of year. Knowing how your body moves within the sacred wheel of the year can help you deal with these negative feelings as the sun returns to us during the winter months.
I was asked what my training a boarding stables looked like so this is a real quick tour. Because of the economy I didn't have as many horses this year (all pets have suffered because of the bad economy). Anyway, a quick tour of the stables and a peek at the indoor training area. The big training area can be heated and we use it for our Febuary Wassail spill over crowd if it gets too cold.
This is a rather disjointed video because the phone kept ringing and when I came back to the video I would forget where I was. But this is simple science that has been used at the beginning of soap making of farms of old for centuries.
Watercress is one of those wild edibles I can show most of the year. here in Wisconsin is grows about 11 months out of the year while just a little further south it grows all year long. Watercress likes its feet wet and is best picked from a free flowing spring so you don't pick up any parasites from the water. It is one of the most nutritious wild edibles we have.
Wow, time is flying really fast. I didn't realize it had been so long since I was here. With the new school, the holiday, and a couple new projects I have over filled my time once again. Hopefully things are quieting down now and I can find more time to get out and watch more videos. LOL
I'm making a wild root side side for dinner tonight and I thought Iwould show you how I do it. This part is gathering the roots.

We'll see if this works. Reloaded Windows Live and hopefully I will be able to upload vids. I had friends over last night and one of them wanted to go look at the sugar shack. I drove them up on the Kawaski Mule and this is what we heard on the way back. Part way through I turn off the Mule and get a flshlight but no matter what, there isn't much to see here.
Nettle root tincture is one of the main medicines I use to take down internal swelling. The main thing I have seen it used for is for men's health and taking down the swelling of a benign enlarged prostate. But it can be used for any kind of swelling do to infection.
Here are some of the great things I bought from Tanyia, Ladybug's, online store. She has some great deals on great things so go over and check them out:

I haven't been able to watch videos or upload them for a couple of weeks now. I swear I'm going through withdrawls because I love watching YouTube videos. LOL Si I've got some catching up to do. I started watching this morning and I'll see if this video uploads correctly and then I'm back in business. YAY!!
Owls have had quite a prominent place in my conversations just lately. This time of year that is ruled more by the night than the day dark spirits just seem to be more important. A friend and I are sitting out in my yard, just talking and this wise one flew up onto my barn roof for just a few seconds before moving on. It's not the greatest video, but I had to share her with you all.
