I have induced mutation in the banana plant through grafting.
It's an ancient technique lost with the past civilizations in Eurasia. It is thought that the banana farmers of Anamur, Turkey, still use this simple method to produce strong cultivars.

Shinchan brought his family to visit us during New Year's Holydays.
Okinawa is a warm island even in the winter, while mainland Japan is very cold and it snows.
Shinchan is one of my seven children, and he lives in Kadena Town.
All of my children were born and grew up in Okinawa.
Now, they are already married and have their own children. Their voices were recorded around 30 years ago.
I made this video so they will remember that they were once children and that they may remember their childhood in Okinawa.
I shall never forget my happy family.

This is a beautiful song by Gigliola Cinquetti.
It was the year of the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The song says"I'm not old enough to go out with you". I was 13 at the time and I lived in Brazil. In 1966 I came to japan never to return. This song brings me good memories of my childhood and the days gone by.
I've been grafting banana seedlings for quite some time.
I use the Japanese Banana called Musa Basjoo as rootstock and the Raja Puri as scion.
This is my fifth year of experimenting the technique of grafting mature banana pups.
I hope to harvest fresh bananas by the end of this year.
After the tragedy of his first marriage which ended in a disaster, Samuel once again arises from the dead and finds the girl of his dream.
Now everything will be ok again, and a new future lies ahead.
