In the final part of this review I look at how well the model flies and how well the FPV and RC side of things works.

Let's take a look inside the transmitter of the Hubsan Spyhawk RTF FPV RC plane.
During the mode-change I discovered some interesting things about the internal FPV system and also found more evidence of lax quality control.
However, after only a little work, the transmitter was all set to go.
Flight video and "trannycam" footage coming up in part 3.
Alishanmao has sent me this Hubsan SpyHawk RTF FPV model to take a look at and review, which is exactly what I'll be doing.
If you want to see Ali's videos of this model flying then you can visit his YouTube channel at:

but for the totally objective "no holds barred" review you'll have to come back here next week.
This week there's new stuff from FrSky in the form of their Version 2 telemetry gear, some recent purchases from HobbyKing and bad luck with the Nova OSD RTL system.
The new RCModelReviews rendering computer is finally here so now I can knock out videos in a quarter the time it was taking before!
I received this box in the mail from China.
Inside should be a 20cc YAK 54 profile ARF, all shiny new and immaculately finished.
However, if you listen carefully, you can hear that there is a lot of stuff rolling around inside the box. I shudder to think what all that loose stuff has done to the airframe and covering.
Anyone care to guess?
At last the final piece of the FPV visor has arrived from China.
Unfortunately, I have a nasty cold so things have been moving a little slowly here this week.
Also coming up ...
A review of the 700TVL FPV camera from HobbyKing
A video on BECs, UBECs and SBECs - what are they?
But for now, it's back to the tissues and chicken soup.
All you need to know about epoxy glues and their use in building RC planes.
There is also a brief mention of Acrylate adhesives and how they differ from epoxy.
If you have any questions, ask then in the comments or in the RCModelReviews forums

In part 1 of the Hitec Aurora 9 review I look at the pro's and con's of this radio and compare some features of it to the Spektrum DX8, JR XG8, Turnigy 9X and Futaba 8FG.
In part 2 of the review I'll be casting a technical eye over the radio and looking at how well it is built, how well it performs and what's inside.
Discussed in this week's NSWN:
A 600TVL CCD FPV camera arrives in the mail
The Chinese New Year hangover
More news on the FPV backpack and diversity receivers
New vids on my xjet channel http://www.youtube.c om/user/xjet
Big thumbs up for RCMR subscribers
I found a new camera, unfortunately it's $5,000
