Just a quick video on how I keep my arrow points from loosening up.
If anyone is wondering, the bow I'm shooting in the video is a 52# recurve that I made.
Slip on bowstring silencers slide onto your bowstring over the loops. The only disadvantage to slip-on bowstring silencers is that you have to remove the string from the bow to get the silencer on. That is easy to do with a traditional bow, but you'll need a bow press to get the string or cables off a compound bow.
A simple trick to make it hard for the casual thief to steal the winch off the front of your rig. It won't make your winch theft proof, but it will go a long way in making it so the casual thief won't do a quick smash-n-grab crime of opportunity.
If you use an alcohol stove you NEED to have a windscreen. Even the high pressure butane/propane and whitegas stoves sometimes need a windscreen to help keep the flame alive and in place under you cook pot. This is just a simple little trick that is inexpensive and works pretty good. Easy to make with common household tools out of a common item that can be purchased just about anywhere.
I've been doing this little trick for about 10 years. It keeps the Christmas tree hydrated so it stays green, smells good, and lessens the fire hazard for the duration of the Christmas holiday.
David at www.bottlestoves.com sent me one of his alcohol burning bottle stoves to test. He makes them out of the extruded aluminum Budweiser and Bud Lite bottles. I messed with the stove for over a week in the shop testing different fuels, burn rates, boiling times, etc.

Our little calico just loves to get spun out. She'll drag this cat toy from one end of the house to the other and then meow at my wife until she spins it up.
Learned this years ago in Boy Scouts. Comes in handy some times. If for nothing else, it's fun to have in your bag of tricks. Video of the live action knot being tied was shot with a GoPro HD Hero on the head mount. First person POV.
