Spent the weekend camping and I thought I would share the Easter morning sunrise over the Tennessee Mountains. I hope that you enjoy watching it. Please comment, subscribe, like. Thanks for watching and I hope to see you in the woods!
A simple small scale smoke generator used for signaling. I needed a better tinder bundle, but for a 20 minute backyard project and feather sticks for tinder, you can get the idea of a full scale model. Thanks for watching and I hope to see you in the woods.
A small EDC kit I carry in the trunk of my car for emergencies. The kit is basically a 10 piece kit covering the 10 "C"'s of survivability (Cutting tool, combustion device, container, cordage, cover, compass, candling device, cargo tape, cotton bandanna, cargo sail needle) with the addition of a few extra items that would make life easier in a survival situation. Hope you enjoy the video.
Using bark as a simple method to remove a hot stainless bottle from a fire. Will also work for many other cooking vessels. You could cut the bark down to fit the bottle and use it as a can insulator. Thanks for watching.
This video will show you how to boil water quickly in a fire using a Stainless Steel Bottle. In this video I continue to test the Subzero stainless steel bottle by boiling water using a method I have found to boil water very fast. The bottle is still holding up.
Tested the Subzero Stainless Steel Bottle by boiling water in a hot fire. It held up to the test. I plan on putting the bottle through more boilings to see how it holds up to bushcraft/survival uses. For $2.99, its a good bottle.... so far........
I was tagged by Ghostkamo to make a video answering the question 'Who or What got you into bushcrafting?" This is my response. I tagged back frugalwoodsman, pilgramsbushcraft, westernmdbushcraft and legacysurvival.
A simple do it yourself spice kit suitable for bushcraft, hiking, backpacking, or camping. The kit can be easily modified to carry small items other than spices or custom tailored to fit your personal spice tastes/needs. It is not heavy and takes up little room. Hope you enjoy the video and I hope to see you in the woods.
Replacing a grommet on a tarp is easy. In just a few minutes you can strengthen your tarp by adding some duct tape and using a grommet kit. You can also make your own tarps from heavy mill plastic or from canvas drop cloths.
Some of the different Axes and Hatchets I carry with me in the woods. The plumb hatchet belonged to my dad, has a lot of sentimental value. Hope to add a couple new ones in the coming months. Hope you enjoy the video.
A video response to Mitch of NativeSurvival's challenge of creating a 1 minute fire that is sustainable and still going after 10 minutes without touching the fire after 1 minute. Watch and see how it goes. Thanks for watching and I hope to see you in the woods.
Another video in the 1 minute fire series - Steel Wool and a Battery. Quick and easy method of exacting a fire in a survival situation. Thank you for watching and I hope to see you in the woods.
A review of my basic fire kit contents and what I carry to exact a fire. Included is a quick review of the Habilis fire kit. Hope that you enjoy it. Thank you for watching.
