Objective: Fall 30,000 feet. Since we're playing Portal, that can only be achieved with - you guessed it - portals.
I killed myself at the end because I had accomplished my life mission: to unlock this achievement.
Ah yes, Master Zophar. This is the portion of the boss fight where you have to survive a few turns while Lucia figures out that humanity really does have the power to beat Zophar. All the meanwhile, Master Zophar (who is invincible through all this) is raining hell on you using Lucia's spells.
Silpheed is a Starfox-like game with the key difference being that the backgrounds are rendered as FMVs instead of generated on the fly like Starfox. This stage features defenses being wiped out. Be sure to listen to the British guy describe the boss at the end!

Now this is one annoying boss, not only does he like to spam Gravity Bomb, he also has three helper orbs to ensure this fight takes forever. Left orb provides invincibility, bottom orb healing and support, and right orb randomly thwaps a party member.
Going through hyperspace. The boss is a real pain in the ass; if you take too long fighting him he just simply drifts away as if he doesn't want to fight you anymore.

Turns out it was Nall who saved the group's collective bacon.
Witness the epic struggle of Hiro vs. Lord Leo, as Hiro struggles to select "Poe Sword" to oneshot Leo! Yes, Leo only has 300 HP in this version.
It's another sidequest! The Zulan mayor's daughter is mysteriously ill, so the Mayor asks the group to go kill the monster that's been terrorizing the village.
So apparently Mauri's been forcing villagers from her home town to undergo a "purification" ritual. Sounds like fun!
As a side note, there are actually three firebird fights. Some things just take too long to complete.
