Mike Fowler (white gi) and Anthony Perosh headed the two largest teams at the Pan Asians and surprised the crowd by suddenly announcing that they would put on an exhibition match on day 2. They had both just competed in the finals of the ADCC. This was the first ever BJJ Black Belt match in the Philippines. The match ended in controversy. How would you score the match?
Saulo Ribeiro (starts on left with white knee) vs Edson Diniz (American Top Team). This is the semifinals match in the Medium Heavyweight Black Belt No-Gi division of the Pan American Games. March 30th 2007. This year was the first time that the Pan Ams had no-gi matches.
Jeff Glover (blue gi) in his third match as a Black belt, against Johnny Ramirez at the IGJJF in Los Angeles August 2006. IGJJF matches are 30 minute matches with a win by first to 12 points rule or submission. Few matches at IGJJF run to the full 30 minutes as submissions crop up. . . .
We join the match about 1 minute in (youtube would not accept the full match due to the 100MB limit).

This is a collection of clips showing how Andrea progressed in her Jiu Jitsu matches over a period of 18 months. In the early matches you can see determination, but much room for learning. By the end of the video you can see Andrea beating bigger opponents and going straight to the back of a much larger opponent.
