On my recent visit to Pennsylvania, I made a trip to the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad. NHIRR's 2-8-0 #40 was the star of the show, and handled the days trains to and from New Hope. Special thanks goes out to the crew of #40, they made this a great experience.
In part 2 of my trip to Strasburg, you'll see #90 depart pardise for East Strasburg, #90 & #475 will meet at Cherry Hill, and plenty of exciting runbys. In Part 3 we will follow #475 from Paradise to Strasburg and have another meet between #475 & #90.
On June 4, 2007 I made the trip up to Folkston, Georgia. This place is famous for the many trains that pass through this town. A great railfan platform is set up to include shade, a useful scanner, fans, chairs, and even Internet. This is truly a railfan's paradise!
In Part 3 we follow #475 for a bit. Part 3 also includes another meet between #475 and #90, as well as servicing being done to the locomotives as they are put away. Special thanks goes out to the steam crews at SRC, they made this a great trip!

On my day off from the railway, I took the oopertunity to film one of are many trians. The Orange Blossom Dinner Train operates Friday and Saturday nights out of the small town of Eustis. On Saturday May 10, 2008, the Central Florida Chapter of the NRHS was given a special tour of Bone Valley. Our guide was a well known expert to the Bone Valley area, Danny Harmon. In "Bone Valley & Beyond" you'll not only see trains in the valley, but at Lakeland as well.
Amtrak train 98, the Northbound Silver Meteor, arrives into the Winter Park Amtrak Station on a cool sunny Florida afternoon. This was taken from the Public Parking Garage on the 5th foor, which is the top. I like to call this new Parking area, Winter Park's own railfan platform.
In this exciting video, we spend the day on the CSX A-Line through the Central Florida Area. You'll see several Amtrak trains as well as several CSX Freights.

During the Month of February The Florida Railroad Museum, based out of Parrish, Florida, held a "Month of Steam" Event. The star of the show is a 1930 Vulcan Iron Works 0-4-0 #75. In this video you'll see the #75 arrive into Parrish, out on the road at the FRRM's only RR crossing and in the cab.
During the month of January, Amtrak operates a student train that travels between South Florida to Washington D.C. The train operates 4 times Northbound and 4 times Southbound. (Thursdays Northbound 92 & Sundays 97) This is the train as it travels at speed through the Winter Park, Florida Station on January 17, 2006. The trains size can sometimes go as high as 25 cars.
In March I made a trip up to North Carolina to visit a friend. Along the way I was able to catch a few trains on video. The first two trains take place in Battle, North Carolina which is North of Rocky Mount. The last train takes place at the Rocky Mount Station.
While working the Day Out With Thomas Event for the Inland Lakes Railway, one of the local news stations, Central Florida News 13, did a shot story on us. I was lucky enough to be interviewed as the engineer shown, so I decieded it would be interesting to post it.
