Here's a quick video we put together that showcases the cakes we did from June 2009 thru March 2010. We hope you enjoy watching them as much as I did making them.
I made this cake for my dear friend Debbie's mom's 60th birthday. We just wanted to do a little something that would represent her love of garden flowers. Simple but sweet.
Happy Birthday Linda! We hope you had a wonderful party! Heres to the next 60 years!
My mother-in-law Anita has kept me quite busy this week. Her second, and last minute, request was for a cake for her manicurist Rita. I thought about a finger bowl cake, or an emory board, but in the end what says manicure more than a giant bottle of pink nail polish!
My mother-in-law Anita asked me if I could make a gift cake for the teacher she assists at Akiva. Armed with a photo of the teacher, a box of crayons, and some inspiration from the Ace of Cakes, this is the result. Each crayon hand rolled and painted. Kinda cool!
I made this cake for my dear friend (and amazing event planner) Dena 40th birthday. It was a surprise from her husband David and she just loved it. Happy Birthday Dena!
And if you happen to need a event planner check out her website at www.partypiecesevent s.com
Jeff and Nikki came to me and asked for a Diego themed cake for their son Danny's third birthday. They wanted it to include his favorite characters from his favorite episodes as well as a picture book that he loved.
I included all of those elements plus a treehouse as well! Happy Birthday Danny!
To celebrate Alexs 8th birthday her mother Julie had us make a ballerina cake that also showed off some of her favorite things including her dog Chewie, Hannah Montana, and Junie B.
The ballerinas dress was a special dairy and nut free cake just for Alex, while the bottom cake was 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 vanilla with swiss buttercream. Everything as usual was edible! Happy Birthday Alex.
Ive had the idea of doing a Super Mario cake in my head for a while now, and I have to thank Jennifer for coming to me for her son Michaels birthday cake. Hes a huge Super Mario fan, so I got to finally let out my inner Mario!
The cake was a traditional Marble cake with swiss buttercream. Happy Birthday Michael!
Jeremy and his wife Ponti are big fans of Ace of Cakes, and his wife innocently joked one day that she wanted a Hello Kitty cake for her 30th birthday
Well Jeremy being the wonderful husband he is surprised her with her very own Hello Kitty! Happy Birthday Ponti! Hope you enjoyed the cake!
Just a quick cake I did for a client to celebrate her sister's birthday. No big theme, just a cute cake for a small family party. Sometimes these little projects give you a chance to try out a new look, or experiment a little bit. Hope you enjoy her!
